3.3.5 Calculator
You can use Calculator in Standard view to do
simple calculations, or in Scientific view to do advanced scientific and
statistical calculations.

Open Calculator.
To open an accessory, click Start, point to
Programs, point to Accessories, and then click the appropriate icon. (For
information about using Calculator, click the Help)
3.3.6 Calendar
To choose a calendar
Open Regional Options in Control Panel.
On the Date tab, in Calendar type, select the
calendar you want to use.
To open a Control Panel item, click Start,
point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the appropriate
icon.

If no calendar is available, then your locale
does not support multiple calendars. The locale (location) selected on the
General tab determines what calendars are available
3.3.7 Character Map
In Windows 2000, Character Map is located in
System Tools on the Accessories menu. You can use Character Map to copy and
paste special characters into your documents, such as the trademark symbol,
special mathematical characters, or a character from the character set of
another language. For information about using Character Map, see Related Topics
or click Help in Character Map.

You can use Character Map to view the
characters that are available in a selected font. Character Map displays the
following character sets: Windows, DOS, and Unicode.
You can copy individual characters or a group
of characters to the Clipboard and paste them into any program that can display
them. Or, depending on the program you are using (such as WordPad), you can
even copy characters by dragging them from Character Map directly into an open
document.
Using Character Map, you can search for
characters by Unicode character name or Unicode subgroup (such as arrows or mathematical
operators) or by other special classifications.
You can also use Character Map to view and
copy private characters that you have created using Private Character Editor.
3.3.8 Imaging

Using Imaging, you can view, annotate, and
perform basic tasks with image documents, including fax documents. You can
transfer pictures to Imaging from a digital camera or scanner, and you can view
images as thumbnails.
Open Imaging
To open an accessory, click Start, point to
Programs, point to Accessories, and then click the appropriate icon.
For information about using Imaging, click
the Help menu in Imaging.
3.3.9 Notepad

Using Notepad
Notepad is a basic text editor that you can
use for simple documents or for creating Web pages. To create or edit files
that require formatting, use WordPad.
Open Notepad.
To open an accessory, click Start, point to
Programs, point to Accessories, and then click the appropriate icon.
For information about using Notepad, click
